This poor neglected diary!

Well the blog server is down so I'm writing here because I have things to say.

I figured it out and the last time I had a day off was November 14th. That explains why I got sick last week (just getting over it now), according to my mom. Even when I was working three part time jobs I had a day off every few days. Crazy!

Right now I'm downloading Christmas songs, thanks to my friend Matthew, who loaded the songs onto Y@hoo briefcase for me to download from. It's great fun! I can't wait to burn a cd of lovely songs to get me in the mood (well, even more so!). I really love Christmas. The only complaint I have (and it's pretty much the same each year) is not having enough time to actually relax and have fun social activities such as baking, gingerbread house making, playing in the snow, and just really savouring the season. Since December 1st hit it's been crazy around here and a week off to bake my heart out would have been so nice. The holidays always seem rushed; there is never enough time.

But all work and little time to play means money in the bank, which is great. I have yet to organize the repayment of my student loans and line of credit, nor set up a budget (yes, those dreaded words) but hopefully by week's end that'll be taken care of. I'm sick of being all talk and no action (or only partial action) with regards to all that I want to change in my life.

I've been too busy to do much with regards to improving the blog. There are lots of fabulous things that I can do and need to learn to do to make my blog awesome but I need time for that. I'm itching to get started, though.

In related news I may get a computer very soon! I hate being in a situation where I'm making payments on something but I think once you hit your adult years that's inevitable so I'm just going to dive in. A computer of my own would be beneficial. Right now I share it with 4 other people which isn't terrible, but I'd like to be able to have all my things on the computer however I'd like. And I'm possessive so having a computer of my own would be quite nice. My dad is thinking of getting a laptop for work so perhaps we can find a place that might give us a good deal.

I had a talk tonight with Nora (as is the norm) and we talked about the future and how or where we might be 3 or 4 years from now. Right now it's hard to imagine that in 3 years I could be married, employed in my dream career, in possession of a driver's license and be significantly lighter in weight than I am but it's actually very possible. In 3 years I could actually be the person I want to be, or on my way there, anyway.
